Fitcoin fitness rewards app on iPhone and Android, with Sleep, Recovery and Energy

People keep typing Circa, Cirqa and "Garmin band" into the same box as Xiaomi's Smart Band 10. Fair: both are wrist bands, both skip a smartwatch price, both skip a required subscription. They are still a $150 argument about whether you want a screen. Garmin's CIRQA is $199.99 of screenless Training Readiness. Xiaomi's Band 10 is about $48 of 1.72-inch AMOLED, 150-plus sport modes and a claimed 21-day battery.

We already compared the Band 10 with the Fitbit Air and the Helio Strap, and CIRQA with the Air. This is the remaining popular fork: Garmin's 2026 screenless band against the best-selling cheap screen band.

Disclosure: Fitcoin is our product. We are not affiliated with Whoop, Google, Fitbit, Garmin, Amazfit, Xiaomi, Polar, Oura, Ultrahuman, RingConn, Hume Health, Bionny or any other hardware brand named here. We do not sell trackers and we do not take affiliate commission from either side of this comparison, so we have no reason to nudge you toward the more expensive box. Where Fitcoin appears, it is as the rewards and insights app that reads the data these trackers write to Apple Health or Health Connect. Scores described below are wellness estimates for general fitness, not medical advice.

The screen is the whole decision

Band 10 exists to be glanced at. Time, heart rate mid-run, message previews, music controls, a flashlight, a weather tile. That is a tiny smartwatch for a twentieth of an Apple Watch. The cost is attention. CIRQA exists so you stop glancing. There is no time, no buzz, no AOD. You open Garmin Connect when you choose to. If you wanted a screenless Garmin because a Forerunner already lives on the other wrist, or because you are allergic to notifications, Xiaomi is the wrong shape even at $48.

If you wanted a first tracker and you like seeing the session on your wrist, Garmin is the wrong shape even at a sale price. The $150 gap is not a quality slider. It is two product philosophies. We made the same point in screenless versus smartwatch.

What $200 of Garmin actually buys

CIRQA carries the physiology from Garmin's sub-$500 watches: Training Readiness, HRV status, sleep stages, VO2 max estimates, acute load, recovery time, Body Battery. The button starts a workout, snoozes an alarm, or broadcasts heart rate over ANT+ and Bluetooth. It auto-counts reps. Connect is free for those metrics; Connect+ is an optional extra most early reviewers skipped. That stack is why people compare CIRQA with Whoop, not with a Mi Band. The CIRQA review is the longer version.

Band 10 covers the visible basics: heart rate, SpO2, sleep stages, stress, 150-plus modes with live stats. Independent tests (GSMArena among them) found resting and exercise heart rate improved versus older Mi Bands. It is still a fitness band, not a training-load instrument. There is no onboard GPS; outdoor routes borrow the phone. Nobody's coach is periodising from Mi Fitness the way they periodise from Garmin Connect. Xiaomi's win is utility per dollar and a battery that, even when testers miss the 21-day claim, still outlasts most watches.

Battery, honestly

Xiaomi's 21-day figure is typical use. Always-on display is quoted around 9 days. Tom's Guide and others have seen closer to a week with tracking and notifications piled on. CIRQA's 10 days are a manufacturer claim that Pulse Ox shortens. Treat both as "charge on a quiet evening," not as a lab certificate. Xiaomi still wins if endurance is the only score. Garmin still wins if the days between charges need a readiness number you trust.

Apps and getting data out

Garmin Connect is the mature ecosystem: watches, bike computers, community, Unified Training Status if you already own Garmin. It syncs to Apple Health and Health Connect. Mi Fitness is the Xiaomi container; core data can still export toward Apple Health and Health Connect, so either band can feed Fitcoin. If you already own a Forerunner, CIRQA is a second sensor, not a new religion. If you own nothing, Band 10 is the painless experiment.

Verdict: which one should you buy?

Choose Garmin CIRQA if:

  • You train with structure and want readiness, load and VO2 max without a membership.
  • You want ANT+ / Bluetooth heart-rate broadcast and a workout button.
  • You already live in Garmin Connect, or you want screenless on purpose.

Choose Xiaomi Smart Band 10 if:

  • You want the most tracker per dollar, including a bright screen.
  • Notifications, time and live workout stats on the wrist are the feature.
  • You are buying a first band and might not stick with it; $48 is a cheap experiment.
  • Three-week-class battery (even if you get ten days) beats Garmin's training language.

Our take: Band 10 is the better gadget. CIRQA is the better training instrument. If $99 of screenless health is what you actually wanted, that is the Fitbit Air versus Band 10 page, not a $200 Garmin. If you wanted a $99 screenless training strap, that is the Helio Strap.

Frequently asked questions

Is Garmin CIRQA worth four times a Xiaomi Smart Band 10?

If you train and you want Training Readiness, VO2 max, load, rep counting and ANT+ broadcast without a subscription, yes. If you want the time, notifications and live workout stats on your wrist, no: the Band 10 is the better gadget at about $48. They are different products that share a strap shape.

Does Garmin CIRQA or Xiaomi Band 10 have a screen?

Only the Xiaomi. CIRQA is screenless by design; data lives in Garmin Connect. Band 10 has a 1.72-inch AMOLED touchscreen.

Which has better battery life?

Xiaomi claims up to 21 days, or about 9 with always-on display. Independent tests often land closer to 7 to 10 days with tracking and notifications on. CIRQA claims up to 10 days, less with Pulse Ox. Xiaomi still wins endurance; Garmin wins the training metrics inside those days.

Does either have built-in GPS?

No. Band 10 uses connected GPS from the phone. CIRQA is a screenless pod: outdoor pace and maps still want a Garmin watch or the phone. CIRQA's button can broadcast heart rate to a bike computer or treadmill over ANT+ and Bluetooth.

Do they need subscriptions?

No. CIRQA's Training Readiness, HRV status, sleep stages, VO2 max and load are free in Garmin Connect. Band 10 uses Mi Fitness with no required fee. Connect+ is optional on Garmin.

Method and sources: Written 15 September 2026 from Garmin and Xiaomi spec sheets, plus Band 10 reviews from Tom's Guide, TechRadar, Android Authority and GSMArena, CIRQA coverage including DC Rainmaker, and our earlier Air vs Band 10 and CIRQA review. Street prices for Band 10 move; treat $48 as a typical US figure, not a permanent MSRP. Battery figures are manufacturer claims unless a reviewer measured otherwise. We do not sell or take commission on any tracker named here; Fitcoin mentions are ownership-disclosed. Wellness estimates only, not medical advice.
