MoneyWalk vs CashWalk (2026): Which Gift Card App Is Better?

Published July 28, 2026 • By Harris Khan • 9 min read

MoneyWalk and CashWalk both turn phone steps into points for gift cards, then surround the pedometer with adverts and bonus tasks. CashWalk is the cleaner default. MoneyWalk offers more ways to earn, but that extra activity does not automatically make its points more valuable, and its recent redemption complaints make caution important.

The verdict

Choose CashWalk for the simpler gift-card proposition. Its official model is one coin per 100 steps, with its website and Android listing advertising rewards on up to 20,000 daily steps. You must collect the coins before reset.

Choose MoneyWalk if the health logs and mini-games genuinely motivate you. Its listing describes points in 100-step increments to 5,000 and bonuses through 10,000. Treat the larger point total as meaningless until you compare the live gift-card price and receive a redemption.

How the step rewards differ

MoneyWalk's current listing says users can receive points for every 100 steps up to 5,000, with extra bonuses for each additional 1,000 steps through 10,000. It advertises 200 points at 5,000 steps. That does not mean 200 pence, cents or CashWalk coins. It is simply MoneyWalk's own accounting unit.

CashWalk publishes one coin per 100 steps and promotes earning on up to 20,000 daily steps on its website and Android listing. Its iPhone wording and account rules can differ, so use the ceiling shown on your device. Walking coins must be collected through the treasure-box flow before reset.

The only fair calculation is days to the same reward value. Pick a card you would buy anyway, note its price in each app, estimate only the walking points you reliably claim, and divide. Do not let a larger currency number decide the winner.

Gift cards and redemption reliability

CashWalk highlights familiar retailers such as Amazon, Walmart and Starbucks in supported markets. MoneyWalk's catalogue also changes by country and has included low-value retailer cards. Download availability is not the same as useful reward availability: inspect the shop before giving either app weeks of attention.

MoneyWalk's current store reviews include successful redemptions and complaints about errors, missing cards and slow support. CashWalk also attracts complaints when stock or thresholds change. Reviews are not audited payment records, but a repeated pattern is a reason to redeem the smallest useful option first and screenshot the request.

CashWalk says collected coins expire one year after collection. That makes a dormant balance a wasting asset. Neither app should be treated as holding cash on your behalf.

Ads, games and the real cost

MoneyWalk provides more side activities: health logs, a virtual plant, games, surveys and adverts. CashWalk layers challenges and sponsored tasks around its pedometer. Those features can accelerate a balance, but then the reward is paying for attention, data or a commercial action rather than walking.

Keep step earnings separate from bonus earnings. Never spend £5 to unlock points towards a £5 card, and do not value a game offer before its tracking terms, deadline and purchase requirements are clear.

Privacy and permissions

Both apps need motion or health-platform data to count. CashWalk says its pedometer works without GPS for ordinary step counting. MoneyWalk adds health logs and camera-based wellness features, so the permissions requested can be broader depending on what you use.

Grant only the data required for chosen features. Offer-wall companies have their own tracking. Remove unused permissions and delete the account if the advertising or reward no longer justifies the data and time.

Which should you choose?

Choose CashWalk if:

  • You enjoy health logs, games and social features.
  • Your live catalogue offers a useful low-threshold card.
  • You accept current redemption uncertainty and will trial the smallest reward.

Frequently asked questions

Which app pays more?

There is no permanent winner. Compare realistic days to the same gift-card value in your live catalogues.

Can I use both?

Usually yes, but expect two claim routines and more advertising.

Do they pay cash?

Their core rewards are regional gift cards. Do not assume another user's PayPal option exists in your account.
