Athlytic vs Livity (2026): Which Apple Watch Recovery App?

Fitcoin fitness rewards app on iPhone and Android, with Sleep, Recovery and Energy

Athlytic is the tighter, cheaper Watch loop. Livity is the wider cockpit that also wants your Garmin, Fitbit or Oura. Both are iPhone apps with a Recovery idea and a Strain idea. Athlytic stops at the training question. Livity keeps adding rooms: food, water, journal, blood reports, fitness age, badges. If you wanted one number before a run, Athlytic is the smaller bill. If you wanted a health OS that is not Bevel, Livity is the one in this pair.

Livity against the bigger OS is Bevel vs Livity. Athlytic against the strap is Athlytic vs Whoop.

Short verdict: Pick Athlytic if the Watch is the only sensor and you want Exertion on the wrist for $29.99 a year. Pick Livity if you also wear a Garmin or an Oura and you will use the extra rooms. Give either one two weeks of overnight wear before you pay. Do not train on both percentages.

Disclosure: Fitcoin is our product. We are not affiliated with Apple, Garmin, Whoop, Bevel, Athlytic, Livity, Gentler Streak or the other apps named here. Where Fitcoin appears, it is as a Sleep, Recovery and Energy companion that also scores workouts for partner rewards, not a PayPal cash-out app. Scores described below are wellness estimates for general fitness. They are not medical devices and they do not diagnose illness.

Athlytic stays on the Watch

Recovery from sleeping HRV and sleeping resting heart rate, Exertion from 0 to 10, a target zone that is not the Move ring, sleep charts, and a monitor for readings outside your range. Free download, Pro at $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year. Core maths on the device. No Garmin login, no Oura login, no Android. If the Watch slept on the charger, the morning is blank, and that is the correct failure. The longer note is the Athlytic review.

Livity is trying to be the hub

Livity's App Store pitch is a daily push, maintain or rest answer from Recovery and readiness, plus sleep stages and debt, training load and Strain, stress, energy, fitness age, an AI coach, food, water, journal, habits and blood-report tracking. It lists Apple Health, Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit and Oura. Core calculations are described as on-device, with cloud used when you turn on AI or those integrations. iOS 17 or later. The yearly Premium figure on the US store has sat near $59.99 depending on the offer, under Bevel Pro's $99.99 and above Athlytic's $29.99.

The product ships fast. Livity 5.0 added water tracking, a large badge set, Oura, blood reports and a Strain recalibration, and the developer has publicly owned bugs such as a fitness-age error on vigorous minutes. That is the trade against Athlytic, which has been the same loop for longer. Some people want the changelog. Some people want Tuesday to look like last Tuesday.

Who should pick which

  • Athlytic if you will not open nutrition, and a complication during the run is the whole point.
  • Livity if a Garmin or an Oura is already the sensor you trust and you want it in the same morning screen as the Watch.
  • Bevel if you want the more finished OS and you will pay Pro for Intelligence, Health Records and Biological Age.
  • Neither on Android. Health Connect is a different category, and neither listing is that app.

Scores will disagree. Athlytic's recipe is overnight HRV and RHR. Livity's readiness line also pulls recent training and sleep, and a second wearable can move it again. Write down one session you changed. If the note is empty after two weeks, cancel.

Frequently asked questions

Is Livity better than Athlytic?

Livity is better if you want Garmin, Fitbit or Oura in the same dashboard and you will use food, journal or fitness age. Athlytic is better if you only wear an Apple Watch and you want a cheaper, tighter Recovery and Exertion loop. Livity's yearly Premium has sat near $59.99. Athlytic Pro is $29.99.

Does Athlytic support Garmin or Oura?

No. Athlytic is an Apple Watch app. Livity's listing includes Apple Watch, Garmin, Fitbit and Oura. A Garmin-only athlete who does not want an iPhone is outside both products, because Livity still runs on iOS.

Which is closer to Bevel?

Livity. It is aiming at the same health-OS shape: several scores, extra rooms, more than one wearable. Athlytic is closer to a single training instrument. The Bevel comparisons are Bevel vs Livity and Bevel vs Athlytic.

Can I run Athlytic and Livity together?

You can install both. Do not take both numbers into the workout. Private recipes mean the same night can print two different recovery scores. Choose one headline.
